I think the video for 'I buy the drugs' by 'Electric 6' is a fantastic example of camera angles and transitions. I like the idea of scenes of my music video changing frequently between different scenes, my favorite element of the video at the very start when the characters pause and the background changes as their names pop up, I hope to do this myself within my music video.
I may chose a song similar to this one because it is quite upbeat, if I chose an upbeat song I will be able to make the video more fast paced and lively.

This is a 'Cypress Hill' poster for a completely different album and I chose it so I could compare its similarities with the album cover 'Stoned Raiders'. It shows a religious scene with a very detailed picture, rater than a bright striking picture created on a computer. It says the title of the album/song at the bottom of the poster which is similar to the album, however due to the bands name in large bold font it is very easy to see that this is a 'Cypress Hill' product.

This is a 'Cypress Hill' album cover, it is for their album 'Stoned Raiders'. I chose this one because of its bright colours and attention to detail, Their is a crown on the skull because the symbol of the street gang 'The Latin Kings' is a crown. The bands name and albums name are not the main focal point of the album cover but they can be easily picked out. 'Cypress Hill' is in the top corner and is easily recognisable due to the font that is always used.

My name is Jake McKeegan and for my A2 coursework I have chosen 'music video' as it appealed to me more than 'film trailer'.
I have not yet decided on a song or a band to do for my coursework. I have no idea of a genre for ether but I believe if I did a more upbeat dance or hardcore song as I would be able to make a very abstract and bright video with quick cuts.
Alternatively I may choose a different genre such as rock, if I were to do this it would enable me to make a more serious and hard hitting video that would probably be in a dark muted tones.
